| Lot description: EGYPT, Alexandria. Domitian. AD 81-96. BI Tetradrachm (25mm, 11.90 g, 12h). Dated RY 6 (AD 86/7). Laureate head right / ΖЄVΣ ΣΑΡΑ[ΠΙΣ], Zeus-Sarapis seated left, holding scepter and right hand extended over Kerberos seated left at his feet; behind Zeus-Sarapis' head, a small figure of Nike crowning him; L ς (date) before. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 446; K&G 24.56; RPC II 2520 and note 48 (this coin, illustrated); Emmett 251.6 (R4). VF, toned with find patina on the reverse. Extremely rare. Ex Harlan J. Berk BBS 68 (13 November 1991), lot 553. All of Domitian's tetradrachms are extremely rare, and this coin is not an exception.
